My gran nursed George Orwell towards the end of his life when he had TB. Around the time maybe a few years after streptomycin was discovered, but only beginning to become available.
Well, we had the drugs back then – and they’ve moved on a bit in the meantime, but basically the worst could now be abated.
So, why is there still a story two generations later?
